ONEONTA SUSQUEHANNA GREENWAY
A scenic, traffic-free trail for outdoor recreation for all ages!

Roundhouse Trail

Opening soon! The Roundhouse Road Trail is a short 1/4-mile trail through woods, still under construction but navigable. Three bridges have been built to cross streams and a small wetland. Steps will be built at the east entrance (by Fonda Ave.), and trail signs installed; once completed we will declare the trail open. If you would like to help with construction, please click the “Become a Volunteer” button above. In the future we hope to expand this trail in the Oneonta Railyard Development Project area

Access to the Roundhouse Trail:

Park along Roundhouse Road near Noah’s World. The entrance is across the street. Head into the open area and look for the trail to the right.

It is possible to access it from Fonda Ave. off Chestnut St. (across from Nick’s diner), but this entrance is currently steep and sloped.

This bridge, the third to be built on this short trail, crosses a wetland. New materials for the base were designed to provide long-lasting support; the repurposed lumber helped us save funds for other projects and gave the bridge a fun and interesting appearance.
